Advanced Cooking Class for Kids

Ages 10 - 16

Local Chefs and cooking instructors take older kids through a detailed course of culinary skills including:

-       knife skills

-       measurements and conversions

-       ServSafe food handling practices

-       herb /spice / ingredient identification

-       palette expansion

-       first-aid in the kitchen

…and MORE in a detailed and deliberate practice setting.  

THIS CLASS IS LIMITED TO 15 STUDENTS ONLY

As a team, or individually, students will make a dish to sample in each class.

(full meals NOT always provided due to the focused nature of the coursework)

Choose either MONDAY or TUESDAY nights, 5:30 - 7:30pm 

Fees:$165/month plus tax  ~ $45 plus tax one-time "Try It"  rate

 

 

STUDENTS CAN JOIN ANYTIME (tuition may be prorated if jpining mid-quarter)

To prevent confusion regarding varying numbers of weeks in each month, or holidays when our office is closed, we group our classes and tuition into blocks of 4 classes per payment.

Tuition is charged as described in blocks of 4 classes following this schedule:

First Quarter Payment 1, due at time of registration or August 1st (covers 8/16 or 17, 8/23 or 24, 8/30 or 31, and 9/6 or 7)

Second Quarter Payment 2, due September 1st (covers 9/13 or 14, 9/20 or 21, 9/27 or 28, and 10/4 or 5)

Third Quarter Payment 3, due October 1st (covers 10/ 11 or 12, 10/18 or 19, 10/25 or 26, and 11/1 or 2) 

Fourth Quarter (FINAL) Payment 4, due November 1st (covers 11/8 or 9, 11/15 or 16, 11/29 or 30, and 12/6 or 7)
