Corks & Cooking…the ADULT cooking class!

Local Chefs and cooking instructors host a monthly evening out for adults! Enjoy dinner with us and walk through a detailed course of culinary skills and techniques that are sure to empower you in the kitchen! YOU bring the wine, WE bring the ingredients!

Seating limited to 20 ADULTS -  great one-on-one opportunity! 

Groups welcome (and private parties available too)

$60 per person plus tax, per class.

Includes specialty meal, recipes, coaching with our personal chef and a great time!

Advanced payment required to secure seats.

Please bring your own beverages

(alcohol permitted for guests over 21, please drink responsibly)

Saturday nights, 6-8 pm (doors open 5:45)

August 19th : Pasta from SCRATCH, Creole Cream Sauce with Shrimp, Caesar Salad, Garlic Knots and Build-Your-Own Bread Pudding

September 16th : Italian Brick Chicken, Risotto, Caesar Salad, Handmade Connoils from SCRATCH!

October 14th: Crab and Corn Chowder, Handmade Fresh Bread, Pepper Jelly Vinaigrette over Tossed Greens, Creole Cream Cheese Cheescake with Fruit Compote

November 4th: Holiday Stuffed Pork Loin with Honey Mustard Cream Sauce, Couscous, Sauteed Vegetables, Pumpkin Ice Cream with Pie Crust Garnish

December 2nd: Handmade Pasta, Chicken Alfredo, Tossed Greens and Homemade Vinaigrette, Breadsticks and Chocolate Torte

HOMESCHOOL COOKING WORKSHOP

Professional cooking instructors take kids through HANDS-ON culinary experiences that support a well-rounded education, independent living skills, and personal confidences as they make math, science and cultural connections while creating delicious dishes!

Class is offered monthly on your choice of Tuesday or Wednesday (same curriculum each day)

International foods rotate by themed schedule:

August 22 and 23 : Russian Cuisine

September 12 and 13: Italian Cuisine

October 17 and 18: Venezuelan Cuisine

November 7 and 8: Chinese Cuisine

December 5 and 6: South African Cuisine

Topics of experience include:

  • knife skills, measurements and conversions
  • ServSafe food handling and sanitizing practices
  • herb /spice / ingredient identification

LIMITED CLASS SIZES  

(ages 6 - 16, divided into peer groups, all skill levels welcome)

10:30 am - 1:30 pm on your chosen date

Registration and Pre-Payment REQUIRED to secure your spot. 

(Payment can be made online or in our office)

*Due to the nature of our advance investment in each event (securing ingredients per child and scheduling staff for safety ratios), refunds cannot be offered if absent for any reason. You may transfer your spot to another guest in such case.  Thank you for understanding our investment in your commitment.

$35 plus tax per class

Includes 3 hours of professional instruction, lunch entrée, drinks, science experiments and outdoor activities or gardening with our farm animals (hens and piggie!)

FALL SESSION
Ages 7-10

Local Chefs and cooking instructors take older kids through a detailed course of beginner culinary skills including:

-       introductory knife skills

-       measurements and conversions

-       sanitary food handling practices and proper equipment cleaning

-       herb /spice / ingredient identification

-       palette expansion

-       first-aid in the kitchen

…and MORE in a detailed and deliberate practice setting.  

 


THIS CLASS IS LIMITED TO 15 STUDENTS ONLY

As a team, or individually, students will make a dish to sample in each class.


TUESDAY nights, 5:30 - 7:30pm 

Fees:

$165/month (4 classes) plus tax

 $45 plus tax one-time "Try It"  rate

 

 

STUDENTS CAN JOIN ANYTIME (tuition may be prorated if joining mid-quarter)

To prevent confusion regarding varying numbers of weeks in each month, or holidays when our office is closed, we group our classes and tuition into blocks of 4 classes per payment.

First Quarter Payment 1, due at time of registration or August 1st.

(covers 8/15, 8/22, 8/29 and 9/5)

 

Second Quarter Payment 2, due September 1st.

(covers 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, and 10/3)

 

Third Quarter Payment 3, due October 1st.

(covers  10/10, 10/17, 10/24, and 11/7) No class Oct 31

 

Fourth Quarter Payment 4, due November 1st.

(covers 11/14, 11/28, 12/5, and 12/12) No class Nov 21

for people with varied abilities!

Special Needs Class

ALL-Ability Classes ...designed for people with Special Needs!

Ages 10 - ADULT (Developmental Levels)

Students cook, assemble and enjoy a different recipe at each class.  

(dietary restrictions can be accommodated)

 

Led by Certified Para Professionals, this class practices:

  • Kitchen safety
  • Independent life skills
  • Social skills
  • Cooking techniques

 

Thursday nights  5:30 – 7:30 pm

Groups divided into peer groups.

 

 

Monthly Tuition: $165 plus tax ($179.35)  

(per 4 weeks, charged before the 1st of each month)

Single Class Rate: $45 plus tax ($48.91)

Parents, and aides are welcome to stay if desired.

Culinary Kids welcomes ALL levels of ability for Birthday Parties, field trips and events!
